Blinding Greed

While the United State’s ‘religious’ conservatives get their ‘biblical’ bloodthrist whetted by killing countless Muslims, the oil boys also get theirs’ in spades, as eloquently pointed out by Pepe Escobar:

“Bush and Cheney got their oily cake - and they will eat it, too (or be drenched in its glory). Mission accomplished: permanent, sprawling military bases on the eastern flank of the Arab nation[s] and control of some of [the] largest, untapped oil wealth on the planet - a key geostrategic goal of the New American Century. Now it's time to move east, bomb Iran, force regime change and - what else? - force PSAs down their Persian throats.”

Meanwhile noted American warmongers like Rick Santorum, Joe Lieberman, and other such war is profitable, I mean, war is peace people like Eliot Abrams, Richard Perle, and Charles Krauthammer, are slavishly continuing their quest for American worldwide hegemony, so all will worship the Golden Calf, Mammon that is, while disregarding the biblical imperative that the Jewish people must return to Israel (Santorum not included unless he is no longer Catholic . . .); (talk about having one’s cake and eating it too, warmongering from the comfort of their million dollar homes) . . .

But no way are these ‘smart’ ones going to the land of milk and honey when they can get so rich here in America, the land of greed and gold; alas, as ever the Chosen Ones’ hearken naught unto Yahweh’s call, instead reveling in earhtly riches, notably the riches of America, the great Babylonian Whore! But they do do a good job in getting the poor American masses, black, brown, and white to die for the rich man and Israel. Talk about mission accomplished; they get three birds with one stone!

How much longer people can we allow our individuating greed to keep God’s kingdom away? How much longer shall we allow ourselves to be slaves of the rich, powerful, and ‘other,’ as they continue to literally put to death the children of the poor, and allow working Americans to slide hopelessly further into poverty due to the incorporated greed that benefits only a few well-to-do?

How much longer shall we await justice, while the rich man concocts ever more wars that we fight for them, and that only further enriches them? We are being played, hoodwinked and lied to on the grandest possible of scales people! We can no longer afford to live with scale-covered eyes; we can no longer wait to shed the skin of our greedy nature that blinds us to our mutual eternal prize . . .

Yet the rich man has us right where they want us as American children become ever more greedily narcissistic.

Wake up people! Wake up!
