Education is the Key

Noahide Law (makes no sense at all)

This 1991 American law is crazy man!!!

"these ethical values and principles have been the bedrock of society from the dawn of civilization, when they were known as the Seven Noahide Laws; whereas without these ethical values and principles the edifice of civilization stands in serious peril of returning to chaos".

Actually the Noahide Law was put together by assorted Rabbis, without universal agreement, in the Common Era; that is, after Jesus lived and was crucified.

From this passage in Genesis 9:4-6:

*But flesh with the life thereof, which is, the blood thereof, shall ye not eat. And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man, at the hand of every Man's brother will I require the life of man. Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made He man.*

The following seven allegedly universal laws are apparently contained in the above passage -- but I cannot discern such "universals":

Not to worship idols.
Not to curse God.
Not to commit murder.
Not to commit adultery or sexual immorality.
Not to steal.
Not to eat flesh torn from a living animal.
To establish courts of justice.

That is not written in our Holy Bible. Of course "laws" about adultery and honoring God came later, with Moses: after the Israelites moved down to Egypt and eventually became enslaved -according to the Book of Exodus -. That is quite an extended interpretation mixed with considerable religiously questionable actual historical events. The stuff of endless theological debate.

Idols? When money is literally our lives' guiding god to modern living. Cursing? "Jesus Christ" no! Fornicating/adulterating? Not us Americans. Don't eat a living animal? Actually: I thought taking a bite of the still beating heart was manly in some societies? Not that I care to partake thank you ...

Leaving us with theft and a court system. About neither of these topics did God speak to Noah. And inferring that God meant these things with the words God actually spoke is abject speculation.

Lastly. This nation was founded upon bloodshed and declaring otherwise is a lie. 1492. 1620. 1776. No "Noahide Law" to be found; on paper nor in practice.

I do agree that education is the key! But, "Education Day" is the government establishment of a religion, the "Noahide Law":

And that is Unconstitutional. 1st Amendment, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion".
